Israel’s National Youth Soccer Team emerged all-Asian champions after defeating South Korea in a cliff-hanger final game in Tokyo today by a 1-0 score. The winning goal was scored during the final minute of play by outside left Shalom Schwartz, according to a telephone account from Tokyo. Israeli captain Yehiel Salem received the tournament victory cup. The game was furiously fought and spectators were not denied the fisticuffs that accompany almost every soccer contest. Three minutes before the final whistle an injured Israeli player was dragged off the field by the South Koreans without first aid. Israeli team mates coming to his rescue were assulted by Korean reserve players. But order was quickly restored.
