After a temporary stoppage, the issuance of visas to overseas lands to emigrants born in the Protectorate has been resumed, it was reported today from Prague.
Applicants for visas are permitted to go to Vienna or Berlin to attend to the necessary formalities. No difficulties are being imposed by the authorities in the Protectorate in issuing exit visas. Those receiving visas to the United States are permitted to join German Jews in sealed transit from Berlin to Lisbon to embark on steamers for New York
The severe restrictions on issuance of exit permits which the Nazi administration still maintain in Belgium are being waived in certain cases for women, it is learned here. The women allowed to leave Belgium for overseas lands are permitted to travel in sealed cars attached to the regular trains running from Berlin to Lisbon via Belgium.
