A new Jewish Home for the Aged was inaugurated here today. Chief Rabbi David Asseo presided over the opening ceremonies. The two-story building, located in Haskoy, an old section of the city, contains accommodations for 55 residents. Thirty-five needy old people were moved immediately into the Home, which will be financially supported by the Jewish community. Other charitable institutions supported by the local community include a hospital, an orphanage, a youth camp, and two student aid societies.
