It would take a regime change in Russia to free Mikhail Khodorkovsky, one of his business colleagues said. Speaking to reporters Wednesday in New York, Leonid Nevzlin, a partner of Khodorkovsky in the Yukos oil firm, said Russian President Vladimir Putin “will never let out” Khodorkovsky, who was sentenced earlier this year to nine years in prison for tax evasion, fraud and embezzlement.
