Racial doctrines occupied first place among the subjects dealt with by the Italian Ministry of Propaganda during the current year, it is revealed in the report of Achildle Starace, secretary of the Fascist Party, to Premier Benito Mussolini about the activities of the National Institute of Fascist Culture.
Of a total of 20,000 lectures, meetings and discussions organized by the institute, 2,100 were devoted to the question of racial policies, compared with 1,800 devoted to the Spanish civil war, 1,800 to Fascist culture, 900 to problem of war and 800 to the party and people. The report stresses that the institute is a center of information on racial problems, having collected 6,300 Italian and foreign books on racialism.
