The new Milan Synagogue, which replaces the one destroyed by the Nazis during the last war, was officially opened here yesterday at a ceremony attended by government officials, Jewish leaders and Eliahu Sasson, Israel Minister to Italy. The Italian Government and Milan Jewry shared in the cost of reconstructing the synagogue.
