Leading Government, political and scientific personalities in Italy participated this weekend in a memorial meeting to mark the tenth anniversary of the death of Chaim Weizmann, the first President of Israel.

In an address at the gathering, Professor Ernst Boris Chain, a recipient of the Nobel Prize for his work on penicillin, said that “Israel’s neighbors will be the first to benefit from the achievements of the Weizmann Institute.” He said this would be “the strongest affirmation of Dr. Weizmann’s work.”
