Italy’s racial and anti-Semitic policy was condemned last night as “an artificial and detestable importation from Nazi Germany” in an address by Luigi Antonini, recognized as the foremost Italian labor leader in this country, before a mass meeting of Italian needle workers at the hotel center.
Mr. Antonini, who is State chairman of the American Labor Party and vice-president of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, paid tribute to Jewish contributions to Italian life, and he concluded by warning that agitation against minorities might boomerang against Germans and Italians here.
