The Italian Chamber of Deputies and the Senate paid homage today to the memory of Amelia Rosselli, one of the greatest figures in Italian Jewish life, who died in Florence last week. She was 85.
Mrs. Rosselli wrote a number of plays which were well received on the Italian stage. Her sons, Carlo and Nello Rosselli, were murdered in France in 1937 on orders of Italian Fascist leaders, Present at her funeral were leaders of all Italian parties except the monarchists and the Fascists. She was buried in Rome’s Jewish cemetery.
