Police raided two Jewish displaced persons camps–Gruliasco and Rivoli–in the early hours of the morning today and demanded that the camp inmates show them their International Refugee Organization identification papers. The Jews, indignant at what they termed “concentration camp methods,” refused, stating they would show their papers only to I.R.0. officials.

It is understood here that police authorities are searching for Jewish refugees from the Adriatic and Scola Cadorna camps who “vanished” during the recent transfer of all Jewish DP’ s from northern to southern Italy. I.R.O. headquarters here denied that they had asked the police to check on the Jewish DP’s.
