The Italian Government intends to broaden its economic political and cultural relations with the Arab countries, it was indicated here by a Foreign Ministry spokesman who reported a number of recent developments in Ital Arab relations.
The spokesman also announced that a special “Italo-Arab economic conference” would take place in Bari at the end of September and would be preceded by a tour of Italian factories arranged by the Italian Government for leading figures in Arab economic affairs, as well as for Arab newspapermen. The spokesman told of recent Italian contracts in Yemen for coal mining, in Saudi Arabia for road building and in Syria in the field of communications.
