Italy was called “Public Enemy No. 1 of Islam” tonight by throngs of Moroccan Moslems as they filed out of the great mosque here after Friday prayers. They formed a parade, and hanging festoons of macaroni to their native smocks uttered cries of derision against Italy and marched on the Italian consulate, where they were turned away by a strong police detachment. The demonstrators then went to the offices of the civil administration and handed in a protest against Italian policy in Moslem countries and especially the annexation of Albania.
