Italy’s new government appointed a committee to explore the idea of establishing a Holocaust museum in the northern city of Ferrara. Amos Luzzatto, president of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities, said the museum will serve to recall the past, and particularly the Holocaust, but should also include a study center about the Jewish contribution to Italian culture.
