Itzhak Hurpi, Israel Consul in charge of economic department of the consulate here, died suddenly from a blood clot. He was 51 years old. The funeral will be held tomorrow and his body will be transferred to Israel.
Prior to serving in Chicago, Mr. Hurpi was an Israeli diplomat in Liberia. He was one of the military governors in Israel after the establishment of the Jewish State and later held the post of administrator of the Port of Eilat.
