Itzak Tabenkin, veteran Zionist and labor leader who co-founded Histadrut, the Achdut Hasvoda Party and the Palmach, died this morning of a blood ailment at the age of 62. At his bedside was Minister-Without-Portfolio Israel Galili, a close friend. Tabenkin was hospitalized here three days ago. Premier Golda Meir expressed deep sorrow at his death and praised him as a great man of Israel. Mr. Tabenkin, who was born in Russia, founded Kibbutz Ein Harod, where he lived, and was a member of the Knesset from 1949 to 1951, representing Mapam.
