Ivor Richards, a life-long supporter of Israel, will take over next week as the new British representative and head of the British Mission at the United Nations. Richards, a lawyer in his 40s, was a Labor member of Parliament. He appeared on Zionist platforms on many occasions and was a member of the Labor Friends of Israel. His constituency disappeared in the redistribution of seats before the elections.
