The Jewish Colonization Association will finance the establishment of two new settlements in the Lachish area at a cost of 750,000 Israeli pounds ($412,500), it was announced here today by Abraham Hartzfeld, chairman of the Agricultural Bank.
The JCA, founded by Baron Maurice de Hirsch in 1891, has spent large sums throughout the world to aid the establishment of Jews in agricultural settlements.
