The sixth annual presentation of the Joint Defense Appeal’s Human Rights Award will be made to Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller of New York at a dinner on September 22, launching the final phase of the Appeal’s 1959 campaign to raise $6,100,000 to support the programs of the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith.
The Award is presented each year by the two Joint Defense Appeal agencies to that individual who has done the most to advance the principles of Americanism and the cause of human rights.
