The Joint Distribution Committee representative in Hungary will continue to supervise relief activities whose administration it has transferred to a central board composed of representatives of local Jewish communities, it was announced here today.
J.D.C. standards of relief will be fully maintained by the central board. All J.D.C. supplies and its local staff will be transferred to the administration of the board, while the J.D.C. representative will continue his functions as director. The reorganization, it was explained, was carried out for economic and administrative reasons.
