The establishment in Argentina of a rabbinical seminary to train rabbis specifically for service in South American Jewish communities was discussed here today by Moses A. Leavitt, executive vice-chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, with Argentine Jewish leaders.
Mr. Leavitt, who filled in Argentine leaders on JDC operations throughout the world, also conferred with educational authorities on how the Conference on Jewish Material Claims could assist in extending teacher training facilities in the Argentine Jewish community. The JDC leader, who is also secretary of the Claims Conference, has had previous conversation along these lines with Jewish community officials in Peru and Chile.
