J.D.C. Marks Its 35th Anniversary; Two-day Session to Discuss 1950 Projects

The Joint Distribution Committee will mark this week-end the completion of 35 years of humanitarian service with a conclave here attended by 2,000 delegates from all parts of the country. This will be the 35th annual meeting of the organization.

A review of the plans for J.D.C. operations in 1950 will be presented at a dinner meeting of the agency’s board of directors, which will take place Saturday evening at the Hotel Commodore. On Sunday morning and afternoon, reports will be given on J.D.C. activities in 24 countries during the year just concluded. The afternoon session, which will be open to the public, will be addressed by Henry Morgenthau Jr., general chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, Edward M.M. Warburg, J.D.C. chairman, and Moses A. Leavitt, J.D.C. executive vice-chairman.
