J.D.C. Organizes Aid for German Refugees in Italy

An appropriation of $10,000 has been made by the Joint Distribution Committee for the establishment of a Central Refugee Committee in Italy, it was announced today by Joseph C. Hyman, executive director of the J.D.C. The refugee committee is being organized to give constructive assistance to Jewish exiles from Germany and to further their permanent settlement. The central office of the committee will be established in Milan and Italian Jewish communities are expected to augment the funds made available by the Joint Distribution Committee.
