Dr. Abraham Granovsky, head of the Jewish National Fund, will fly from Jerusalem to the United States to participate in an extraordinary J.N F. conference which will take place in New York on March 5th and 6th, it was announced today by Judge Morris Rothenberg, president of the J.N.F. of America. Key Jewish leaders from all parts of the country will attend the parley.
In announcing the convening of the conference, Judge Rothenberg emphasized that a land program for Israel will be revealed at the sessions, in which all constituent Zionist groups will participate. He stressed the fact that Dr. Granovsky is the outstanding authority on land problems in Israel.
“In view of the great change which has taken place in the land situation in Israel and the pressing need for increased areas of land to meet the vast influx of immigration there, Dr. Granovsky’s visit to the United States is most timely and will enable the American Jewish community to receive an answer to the many questions which have arisen concerning the possibilities of land acquisition, present land values, the position of Arab land owners and the attitude of the Government of Israel toward the future activities of the Jewish National Fund,” Judge Rothenberg’s statement said.
