According to a statement recently issued by Emanuel Neumann, President of the Jewish National Fund, 50,000 blue-white boxes with the Star of David in the center, the repository for small coin contributions toward the Jewish National Fund, have been distributed in 460 cities and towns in the United States. Committees in these cities and towns are in charge of the collection and it is estimated that approximately 250,000 Jewish men, women and children are contributing annually in nickels, dimes and dollars, which has averaged during the past several years $60,000 per year.
