Two members of the Chicago Jewish community were honored today when new forests bearing their names were dedicated by the Jewish National Fund in the Hills of Jerusalem.
The men are Morris Devoskin, whose name was given to a forest totaling 120,000 trees; and Theodore Lawless, whose name was given to a forest with 20,000 trees. Speakers at the ceremonies included Yaacov Tsur, world chairman of the JNF; William Robinson, JNF head in Chicago; and Rabbi Harold Tartner, of Chicago.
