A call to a national conference to be held the first week of January 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pa., was issued today by Judge Morris Rothenberg, president of the Jewish National Fund of America. Delegates from JNF councils in more than a thousand communities are expected to attend.
The conference, the call said, will be dedicated to resisting British edicts restricting Jewish land purchases in Palestine. The plan presented at the recent convention of the Zionist Organization of America by Dr. Abraham Granovsky, head of the World Jewish National Fund, calling for the purchase, this year, of 500,000 dunams of land and the redemption of 2,000,000 dunams over a period of years, will be placed before the delegates.
