Announcement of plans to plant a forest in the Judean hills of Israel in honor of Governor George M. Leader of Pennsylvania and Mrs. Leader was made here # William H. Sylk, of Philadelphia, following a lunched at the governor’s mansion attended by Jewish community leaders and State officials. The forest is a project of the Jewish National Fund’s Pennsylvania Council and will be undertaken in recognition of the Leaders’ “attachment to countless humanitarian causes.” State Senator Israel Stiefel of Philadelphia has been named president of a statewide commission for the project.
