The Jewish Publication Society is planning to publish a series of books next year on American Jewish history and biography, it was announced here last night by Judge Louis E. Levinthal, president, at the 65th anniversary dinner of the Society. The planned series of books is being financed through a gift of $150,000 which the Society received from the estate of Jacob R. Schiff, New York lawyer and philanthropist, who died in 1948.
