The Jewish Telegraphic Agency daily bulletin of this city has been confiscated by the Polish authorities for printing the text of a resolution adopted by a meeting of Jewish representatives protesting against Germany’s new citizenship and marriage laws.
The Warsaw papers printed the resolution, omitting references to “the shameful anti-Jewish laws” which were characterized as “a renewal of the darkest days of the Middle Ages and the greatest disgrace of civilized humanity.”
The Polish Telegraphic Agency today published the German official press agency’s denial of the report in the Praha press that a Jewish football player had died as a result of injuries suffered when he was mobbed by Nazis at Ratibor, Silesia. Previously, both the Polish and German press had failed to report the incident.
