A plan of cooperation between the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations and the National Army and Navy Committee of the Jewish Welfare Board regarding service to Jewish men and women in uniform stationed on college campuses throughout the country was made public here today jointly by Frank Weil, president of the Jewish Welfare Board and Henry Monsky, president of B’nai B’rith.
The plan provides for full collaboration and cooperation to the end that the men themselves will be adequately served through the combined efforts of Hillel, the J.W.B. and the U.S.O. Hillel has the funds for the military program it is now conducting or will undertake until September 1943. Should further aid be needed at any time, every possibility for financing the military program through sources available to the J.W.B. or Hillel will be explored before any public campaign is undertaken for this program, it was stated.
