A memorial meeting for Vladimir Jabotinsky, late president of the New Zionist Organization and organizer of the 1917 Palestine Jewish Legions, was held in Manhattan Center tonight. Jabotinsky died at Hunter, N.Y., August 3.
Among the scheduled speakers were Jan Masaryk, Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs; Colonel John Henry Patterson, who was commander of the Jewish Legions, Pierre van Paassen and editors of New York Jewish newspapers. Memorial services were conducted by members of the Jewish Ministers and Cantors Association. The services included singing by a choir of more than 100 centers.
