Jacob Michael one of the richest men in Germany, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of having de## the Prossian State Bank and of usury. After having been thoroughly examined concerning his relations with certain high officials, who are accused of having trand##lently used 14,000,000 gold marks of the bank’s funds, Herr Michael was discharged, there being no incriminating evidence against him.
Professor Arie Ablea, well-known Jewish pianist, arrived here from Palestine. Professor Ablea has gamed a reputation as a great pianist in the European capitals and will give a recital in New York shortly.
