District Commissioner Robert E. H. Crosbie, in charge of the Southern district, warned the Arabs not to demonstrate Friday. The demonstration to protest against the immigration of Jews into Palestine, is similar to the one suppressed by the Jerusalem police, two weeks ago. The Arabs retorted that they were carrying out the decision of the Arab Executive.
Arab boatmen were also warned by the Commissioner against the program of their proposed march. Published reports that a large number of Arab villagers will attend are not confirmed. However, it is understood that the police are sending reinforcements.
