The great Jaffa synagogue will be sold at auction due to the financial difficulties resulting from the economic crisis, according to a report in the London “Morning Post” today.
The correspondent states that the decision of the trustees has caused a painful impression among the Jewish population and that demonstrations were held against the sale.
