James N. Rosenberg of New York, Vice-Chairman of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, conferred here yesterday with Secretary Hoover with regard to work the committee is doing in Europe, particularly in Russia and Poland. Secretary Hoover expressed great interest in the plans and said he would assist the committee as far as circumstances permitted.

Mr. Rosenberg said the committee had cooperated for several years in relief work in Russia under the direction of Mr. Hoover, and the work of the committee was now being continued on reconstructive lines, chiefly in agriculture.

Mr. Rosenberg will sail Saturday night on the Conte Rosso for Europe, where he will make a survey of the field and confer with Government officials in Russia and Poland and with the European heads of the committee.

A Jewish community comer will be erected in Oklahoma City, Okla. The property recently was purchased for this purpose.

The building will be a two-story structure and will cost about $10,000. Construction work will start immediately.

The congregation of Rhodphai Sholem Synagogue, Holyoke. Mass., celebrated its 25th anniversary.
