The Japanese Government has been watching with a keen interest the development of the Jewish nationalistic movement, say as statement issued by Baron Tanaka, the Japanese Premier, and conveyed by S. Yada, the Japanese Consul General, to N. E. B. Ezra, the honorary secretary of the Shanghai Zionist Organization.
“The re-establishment of their home in a country dear to their heart,” the Premier continues, “provided my Government with an occasion to manifest its sympathy with Jewish nationalistic aspirations. It is sincerely hoped that the Jewish people will overcome the difficulties that may arise in their path and thus augment their share of contribution to world civilization.”
