Ambassador Gunnar V. Jarring, the United Nations peace envoy for the Middle East, is not expected to come here when he visits Egypt next week. it was learned from reliable sources today. The sources noted that Israel’s interest at present is focussed on the American Initiative to open close proximity talks between Israel and Egypt for an interim Suez accord. Top priority is being given to these efforts, the sources said. The US views are very close to those of Israel with regard to the procedures for the interim talks.
