The Joint Distribution Committee has contributed $10,000 for Rumanian flood relief, it was reported this week by Jack D. Weiler, JDC chairman. The contribution followed an appeal for assistance by Rabbi Moses Rosen, president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Rumania. The funds will be used to aid all flood victims, Jews and non-Jews alike, Weiler said. The floods, early in July, were said to be the worst since 1970. At that time the JDC also contributed funds for Rumanian flood relief. Weiler noted. Word has not yet been received on the extent of damage to Jewish communities now.
