The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee has engaged an American social worker, Miss Danica Adjemovitch, to assist in the nation-wide resettlement of the Vietnamese refugees, it was announced this week by Jack D. Weiler, JDC chairman, Miss Adjemovitch, a graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work, will be assigned to the new national reception center being opened in Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania on June 2.
In a letter to Ambassador James M. Wilson, coordinator for humanitarian services of the Department of State, Weiler wrote that the executive committee voted unanimously at its meeting this month to support “this great humanitarian effort to help the Vietnamese refugees find a new and better life in our country.”
