The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) has shipped over 400,000 pounds of Passover supplies to small Jewish communities throughout the world, including shipments to the communities of Egypt and Lebanon, according to JDC president Donald Robinson. JDC executive vice president Ralph Goldman noted that for the past two years JDC has been providing the small Jewish community of Egypt with Passover matzoh and supplies directly, rather than through the International Red Cross as was the case for the past 31 years.
