A special appeal for all types of clothing for men, women and children is now being made throughout the country by the S.O.S. Collection of Supplies for Overseas Survivors, sponsored by the Joint Distribution Committee, to provide 20,000,000 additional pounds of contributed relief supplies for Jewish survivors oversee, it was announced today.
Mrs. Nathan Straus, national chairman of the S.O.S. Collection, announcing the clothing appeal at New York headquarters today said that wearing apparel had not been included earlier in order to permit full cooperation with the United Victory Clothing Drive which officially ended on Saturday.
