Relief activities for the Jews in the recently liberated sections of northern Italy have already begun, Dr. Joseph Schwartz, European director of the Joint Distribution Committee, disclosed today. He said that a JDC representative followed the Allied armies into Bologna and is now procecding to Ferrara, Dr. Schwartz said that he is nogotiating with the authorities to send JDC workers, into Germany as soon as possible. He announced, also, that $85,000 has been appropriated for relief for the 7,000 Jews in liberated Holland.
