To bring about a “better understanding of Jewish problems,” a free speakers’ service has been inaugurated by the Jewish Education Association, it was announced yesterday. A corps of volunteer speakers has been enrolled.
Bernard Semel, honorary secretary of the association and chairman of the committee on educational propaganda, explained that the service was launched in response to numerous requests for speakers to address meetings on those and similar problems.
Among those enrolled as volunteer speakers are:
David S. Andron, Pincus Berkson, Israel S. Chipkin, Dr. J. H. Day, J. David Delman, Prof. Maurice Finkelstein of St. Johns Law School, Israel Goldberg, Joseph Goldin. Judge Jonah J. Goldstein, vice-president of the JEA, Louis E. Goldstein, Harry Grayer, Louis J. Gribetz, Samson Inselbuch, Sidney Jacobi, Dr. Samuel M. Levenson, Judge David C. Lewis. John Lewis, Neil M. Lieblich, Sidney Marcus, Louis Notkin, Samuel Ohlbaum, Eli Resnikoff, Joseph S. Scheinberg. Dr. Mordecal Soltes, Judge Nathan Sweedler, chairman of the Brooklyn Division of the JEA, Kalman Whiteman and Hyman Winograd.
