All Paris is watching with keen interest Jean Goldsky’s fight against death. Goldsky, who will complete today 13 days of hunger-striking, is unconscious. He has refused to partake of either food or water as a protest against the government’s refusal to grant him a retrial of the charges for which he was sentenced, Goldsky being accused of anarchistic agitation. The prisoner has been in jail for the past six years. A recent movement by friends of Goldsky, urging a retrial of the case because Goldsky is old and has but a short time to live, was stamped out by the Government.
