Jericho, the Biblical town of alms and war, may be inscribed in the history of the Arab tribes as a city of peace as a result of a peace conference which opened its sessions there yesterday.

The conference, which consists of two representatives of Ibn Saud, victorious leader of the Wahabis and conqueror of Mecca, two representatives of the Transjordanian government and one of the Palestine government, was called to consider the feuds and frontier disputes between the tribes of Nejd, Hedjas and Transjordania.
