More than 1200 publishing houses from 51 countries will participate in the international Book Fair to take place in Jerusalem April 19-25. Countries such as Cyprus, Taiwan and Kenya will exhibit for the first time. Over 400 publishers will personally come to Jerusalem to represent their publishing companies. The Jerusalem International Book Fair is a joint project of the Jerusalem municipality, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Israel Book Publishers Association. It is held every two years. The Binyanei Haooma, the site of the fair, will be filled with an expected 50,000 volumes or four miles of books.
