The Botanical Garden of the Hebrew University which has been presented by Mr. Solomon Lamport of New York, and will be known as the Lamport Botanical Garden, was dedicated today in connection with the celebration of the seventh anniversary of the University.

It is the only Botanical Garden in the Near East, said Dr. Schlesinger, who spoke on behalf of the University Administration, and it will be of great value, both scientific and practical. Dr. Schlesinger said that they were very grateful to the brothers Lamport of New York for donating the land and the funds for the maintenance of the Botanical Garden.
