A sharp protest that the present constitution of the Jerusalem civic electoral committee has an unjust proportion of Jews compared with their numerical strength in the city, is made in a letter addressed by the Council of Jerusalem Jews to Palestine authorities.
It is pointed out that although the Jews outnumber the combined Moslem and Christian Arab rate payers, they have only been given two seats on the committee in defiance of the Municipal Corporations Ordinance stipulations.
