M. E. Greenbaum, Jewish banker of Chicago was recommended to President Coolidge as desirable for appointment to the Cabinet. The recommendation was made by Congressmen Joseph Feuchtwanger and Sproul, representatives of “mid-Western Republicans”, who called on President Coolidge today asking that a Chicago man be appointed to a post in the Cabinet.
Greenbaum is supported by a considerable number of middle West bankers and merchants.
