Benjamin Moshieff intends suing Mohammed Abu Shem for libel, claiming that Shem informed the Moslem Supreme Council that Moshieff, on behalf of the Zionist Organization, had offered him $125,000 to arrange for the murder of the Grand Mufti, causing the government to investigate. This libel was the basis of the fake story printed in the “Jamal El Arabia,” for which that paper was temporarily suppressed, but the story nevertheless was circulated throughout the Moslem world. Shem is an official of the Arab National Club in Haifa.
